Toread

Toread Kish carries the Chinese outdoor label TOREAD at Mica Mall. The company was founded in Beijing in January 1999, started out making tents, and expanded through sleeping bags and packs into apparel and footwear; it listed on China's ChiNext board in 2009 and has since supplied gear to the country's polar expedition and mountaineering teams. Stock at Toread Kish covers hiking and trekking boots, waterproof and windproof shells, sleeping bags, tents and camping equipment. Technical fabrics do much of the work here — Toread has been licensed to use GORE-TEX since 2003, which is a large part of why the hardshells hold up in bad weather. Part of the range at Toread Kish is cut for city wear rather than the trail, which for a visitor to the island is often the more useful half.
