According to MicaMall’s Public Relations, the first edition of the Mica Sketch Competition concluded simultaneously with the “Memarrit Conference,” and the winners of this artistic contest were announced.
Elnaz Rajabian, the event director of Mica Sketch, told the MicaMall website that following the competition announcement, 237 participants from across Iran registered on the event’s website, and ultimately, 112 entries were submitted by the deadline and reached the judging stage.
She added that the competition was open to all designers using any sketching technique. Participants submitted works created with traditional hand-drawing methods, pens, watercolors, digital pens, and other techniques via the event website.
Rajabian further noted that one of the interesting aspects during the judging process was that some works were suspected by the judges to be created by artificial intelligence. After verification using another AI system, entries that were largely generated by AI without individual creativity were excluded, and 16 works advanced to the preliminary selection of the finalists.
The competition director concluded that the top three winners of this contest were: Mehdi Asadipour (first place), Fatemeh Golju (second place), and Ghazaleh Hajimiri (third place). Additionally, Raheleh Seyed-Arabi’s work received an honorable mention from the judging panel. The prizes for the top three winners were 100 million, 70 million, and 50 million rials, respectively.
